My Baby is Hurt
That's right everyone Grady is officially too hurt to play at all. He was placed on the fifteen day DL this morning. I am very sad but I hope he gets better soon. The Indians say that the MRI they did revealed no structural damage so that is good but with their track record on injuries and what they reveal I can only be so hopeful. This news kind of killed my day. The poor Indians cannot catch a break this year. Please get better Grady. I will be waiting.
Carl Pavano
Carl Pavano has been absolutely amazing recently. He leads the team with five wins and would have had number six today if the Indians' bullpen had not reverted back to its old ways. Today for example he pitched 7 1/3 innings walking no one and striking out four. He gave up seven hits and three runs. That is less than a hit per inning pitched. He did not give anyone a free trip on base and when Wedge took him out he was not happy about it. I love how he is pitching and competing right now. The other night STO did an interview with him and it was probably one of the best interviews STO has ever done. I am really liking him more and more as the season goes on. I love it even more when he dominates the Yankees.

you did get a win out of it though. the kid i went to the game with on friday. (the real yankees fan) was there again and he got ragged on so bad after jhonny got the walk off hit. kind of glad my yankee fanhood only lasted one day. one day longer than it should have huh.

Melissa - I'm sorry to hear about Grady. I hope it is nothing too serious. And where do I start with Pavano? I guess all he needed to do was leave NY to show how well he could pitch! I'm sorry he didn't get the win today.

Oh my goodness that is soooo sad!! I hope he gets better soon. Poor guy :( Maybe he'll come back on fire and will play extremely well for the rest of the season.

No! This can't be happening. I am going to an Indians game in a couple weeks and was so looking forward to seeing Grady in person for the first time. I'm not sure what all the rules are regarding the DL and everything, but if he's on the 15-day, I'll probably miss him. So sorry to hear this terrible news!

When I saw that he was hurt I was like, "NO!!! MELISSA!!!" I totally felt for you. I'm sure when he gets back, he'll score some homers for his absence and for his favorite fan. ;-)

Ouch! Poor Grady :( I hope it's not a serious injury. Don't you just want to send a "Get well soon" card when your favorite guy goes on a DL? I would so do that to Khalil!

Sorry that Grady is injured. Maybe he'll get on a roll when he comes back.
I noticed that Pavano was pitching well. I bet Alyssa Milano is happy about that.

The Indians are really having a tough time this year. Not only did they get off to a slow start, but they've had so many injuries to key players, too. You guys always beat up on us though, so I'm still kind of worried about this upcoming series at the Dome. Especially since the Twins never score any runs off of rookie left-handers they've never seen and we've had our own injury problems of late.

I was really sad when I heard about Grady. He's starting to grow on me a little bit. Your fault. :) I hope he's back soon and able to play at 100%. I guess even against the White Sox...maybe.

I think everyone loves it when Pavono dominates against the Yankees.

Matt- Yeah we won but it was bittersweet. I am glad you are done with Yankee fanhood, hopefully forever.
Julia- Hopefully Grady's back within the next couple of weeks. If it doesn't get better within the 15 days he'll have to have surgery and that's 4-6 weeks.
Kaybee- I would think when he comes back he'll play pretty well. He was just starting to heat up offensively so I am hopeful he'll be fine when he gets back.
Paige- I know. I ma going to see them on June 13 and 14 and I was really looking forward to seeing him play but I guess that won't be happening.
Emily- I hope he does. He hit one in one of his last at bats the night before he went out, off of CC, to the deepest part of the ballpark. It was awesome.
Hyunyoung- I have been thinking about sending a get well card to Khalil. I think it would especially help with what is bothering him. I like him and we share a school so I think we should stick together. haha
Ken- I just hope he's back soon.
Erin- Well they did win last night. Although the Indians did threaten a few times. I really thought Frisco;s ball was gone coming off the bat but it wasn't really that close. And then that Brendan Harris injured Droobs. I hope he comes back now too.
Jen- hahahaha I turned you into a Grady fan. Kind of like you made me amused by AJ's antics. I can't mention that to any of my Indians fan friends they already think I'm crazy for not hating the Red Sox.

Bob- Yes I think that is true.
Jeff- I went through a lot to get Grady on both of my teams so my Fantasy life is suffering too.
